Frozen Raspberry Margaritas

It’s July, which means 95 degree temperatures, grilling, sundresses…and margaritas!

I like to call them ‘margs, for short, and they might be my all-time favorite cocktail. I always order them frozen. Nothing beats ordering them with an amazing Mexican meal at my favorite restaurant, but they seem to be the one cocktail that I can make at home and not mess up! I’ve made them before at the beach, and it’s super easy to do for a group of people. It’s the best summer drink.

For 4th of July Weekend, I decided on a whim to make a couple of margs for S and I! I love adding fresh berries to my margs, especially because it adds a beautiful color! There is nothing glamorous about this recipe, and it’s astonishingly simple, but the bright berries make this drink look so gourmet!

Whipping up these frozen raspberry margaritas was one of the easiest blender recipes I’ve made in a long, long time!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • Bacardi Mixers Lime (1 can)

  • 12 oz fresh raspberries (freeze them ahead of time if you can! Strawberries would be great, too)

  • Ice

  • Lime wedge, for garnish (squeeze a bit into the mix)

  • Water (1/3 cup)

  • Sugar, for garnish

  • Casamigos Tequila (1 shot, optional)

Recipe

In a blender (I use my Nutribullet), add ice, berries, Bacardi mixer, squeeze of lime juice, water, and tequila (which is optional). Blend away! Prepare your glass by adding sugar for the rim. Pour, and add lime wedge for garnish.

Note: If you leave out the tequila, this makes a fantastic mocktail.
