Rupdate: Starting Fresh
The last time I posted a running update or what I call a “rupdate,” was here. It’s not the most glamorous topic for a blog like this, which I typically reserve for creative pursuits and travel. But I was at the gym last week - on the treadmill, to be exact…and I found myself searching for those old 2014 “rupdate” blog posts about running.
Likes & Loves
Every once in a while it’s fun to compile a little “wish list” isn’t it? I guess it is the feeling of the new year, a sense of renewal…or just my bad habits of buying that makes me want new stuff! In my defense some of it I already own (ha!) and some of it is for my dog. So that doesn’t count, right?
Basement Reveal
Last November, our basement was an eyesore. We had been through the mill with asbestos remediation, which left us with an exposed cement floor and a slipshod coat of white epoxy sealant splashed on the floor. Dark brown wood paneling lined the walls, all the way up to the ceiling. It was cold, dark, devoid of personality, and of all things, aging….
Self-Care Haul
Between Christmas gifts and a feeling of newness approaching with a new year/decade, I have been upping my game in the self-care/beauty department. I have been on a new regimen since Sunday which involves a blend of microdermabrasion, deep cleansing, glycolic peels, and moisturizing. And I am tottttally geeking out over it.
