A seasonal lifestyle blog
A love letter to style, heirloom recipes, creative pursuits, motherhood, and life’s little joys through my camera lens.
Cut-Flower Garden Adventures {Peonies}
As a new-ish homeowner, I stand firmly by the belief that Year 1 is meant to “get to know” your surroundings - your garden, the type of light it gets, the composition of your soil, what kind of pests you’re dealing with - Year 1 it is a time to observe. So now that I am almost a 2-year homeowner, I felt more confident knowing where I wanted to situate my cut-flower garden.
Homemade Pesto
Like many, I am finding myself with more time to bake/make things from scratch. While I posted my bread adventures a bit ago, I have to admit I haven’t been that ambitious in quite a while. I’m not at the point of making homemade cookies or pasta or stuff like that, but I decided a few weeks ago to borrow my parents’ food processor and make one of my favorites: pesto alla genovese!
Yet Another List

Recovery Skincare Regimen
So I am now about 1 full week into my new nighttime skin care routine, which is a Retin-A routine I do every single night! I guess with COVID-19, why not try something new now? I’m not wearing much makeup, so this break for my skin is well-timed. I have been using Retin-A on and off for about a year but was always scared off by the peeling and dryness. Turns out I was using too much and applying it too directly, which made my skin feel irritated and brittle.
My First Batch of Handmade Paper
Has anyone else been getting concerned about the grocery stores’ inadequate supply of paper towels or toilet paper? In what feels like a hilarious twist, I embarked on a paper-making journey this week. And the product quite resembles toilet paper or paper towels…so, crisis averted.
Super Pink Moon & Thoughts
So, this week we started a new month….March felt like it lasted forever, because it did. We start a new season…spring is most definitely here, with my crocus bulbs springing up out of the ground as if to say, “good morning!” And personally, I start a new decade of life. I am turning THIRTY!
