Summertime Snip & Savor

I had the opportunity to join Lisa from Hollow House Farm and Kimberlee from Moods of Motherhood Photo for a lovely summer evening of sweet sips, scrumptious bites, and of course farm flower picking! It was a seriously soothing night with the act of snipping and arranging flowers as the most therapeutic and relaxing part.

It was quite an enchanting evening to be out in the open air, chatting and meeting new friends from our community. Our night started with delicious drinks curated by Lisa and Kim, featuring some of the season’s best flavors (like grapefruit margaritas and peach sangria). The food truck from Local Harvest Pizza served up some of the best gourmet artisanal slices and yummy fruit-filled salad! My favorite was the soppressata with Mike’s hot honey 👌🏼 Even on a hot humid night, I couldn’t resist the spicy stuff! Our noshing ended with the perfect nightcap: vanilla chamomile gelato from Panna. All of it was delectable and perfect for a fun, chill yet fancy evening amongst the flowers!

Our night ended with the main event: flower picking and bouquet arranging! I ended up reaching for hues of white, purple, and yellow. Hollow House Farm has a variety of so many different flowers they are growing this season, including ruffly zinnias, colorful marigolds, and intricate snapdragons. My bouquet included celosia, rudbeckia, echinacea, zinnias, snapdragons, all wrapped in the most delicate baby’s breath. It is such a luxury to have this bouquet on my table at home - reminding me to be thankful for this floral harvest, and this opportunity to connect with so many wonderful women and entrepreneurs.
