It’s been a full year of curating intentional, thoughtful wardrobe additions! This past winter, spring and fall I made careful selections to add to my closet. The criteria is that my pieces always have to be versatile, classic, high quality, and as timeless as possible to stand the test of time! I think because of this, I have been “needing” less and less and it turns out that my autumn wishlist is perhaps my smallest one! I really zeroed in on what I need, rather than what is simply in.

First, I really needed a crisp pair of white sneaks. I saw a pair of Adidas platform sneakers and new immediately that the thick, chunky platform sole would work for me. Any extra height is a perk! However, I opted for a leather pair that is a bit more elevated and will hopefully be easier to keep clean. I can imagine so many ways to wear them, like with cozy joggers and a tee, wide leg jeans, or a cute above-the-knee dress and sweater. I also loved how these had a slimmer silhouette along the foot collar.

Another desperate need is a striped sweater! I have added the viral bestselling striped Emelie cardigan from J.Crew because I have personally tried it on and can attest to the quality! It is blowing up the internet for a reason. Some other alternatives I’m currently eyeing up are from Sezane, but I have yet to pull the trigger on any stripes.

I think the trend that I am most excited about is the wide leg pant trend. I absolutely love that flowing, tailored trousers are making a comeback. I tried these Amazon trousers last winter to emulate that tailored look, and I can’t wait to wear them again in cooler months. Wide leg silhouettes aren’t just limited to trousers, though! I have added some wide leg jeans into my rotation and I can’t recommend the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jean from Madewell enough. I have the Heathcote Wash and Vintage Canvas (a nice not-quite-white). Also, the Pilcro Skipper Wide Leg from Anthropologie offers a super flattering cut without sacrificing quality. They are must haves!
