Summer Wishlist

Summer 2020 Wishlist.jpg

Whenever a new season rolls around, I always get the urge to create a little inspo board or wishlist of some items I’m currently coveting. And now that we have spent several months at home, my wishlist is dominated by house-related decor!

faux olive tree: I’d loveeee to have a real one, but in our zone it just isn’t optimal. I did a bunch of research on how to have thriving olive trees, and the bottom line answer is that faux is the way to go!

new furniture: We are dying for a new coffee table, outdoor furniture, and some larger accent pieces for the house. But the prices are just a bit too much to justify at the moment!

linnea’s lights: I am a longtime fan of this candle brand! I love their packaging and scents.

weems & plath ship’s clock: So, I was gifted this actual clock for my 30th birthday and I am obsesssed with it. Every time it chimes I am reminded of how special it is, and how it was given to me with such love from my mom. The only tedious thing is we have been struggling with how to hang it, because it is heavy. My heart would crumble if it ever broke…so, I want to be 1000% sure it is not going anywhere once it is hung. I have a little nautical/LBI inspired wall that will highlight this clock as my centerpiece.

dahlias: My two dahlia varieties are going to be blooming very soon and I could not be more excited to have vases of my cafe au lait throughout the house.

artwork: The color schemes of oceanscapes have been a perennial favorite for me; but I love the unexpected and exotic punches of pink and cerulean in this print.

pottery: OK , I took the plunge and purchased two of these beautiful Rodin planters from Ballard Designs just this week! I am imagining boxwoods in the spring and summer, and mums in the fall - I cannot wait til they arrive. They’re on backorder!

turkish towels: I am feeling a lot of bathroom inspo lately because we *i.e. S and his dad have been focusing on finishing up the master bathroom renovations! These turkish towels are so simple and luxurious, but also eclectic and bohemian because of their artisan-made feel. There is so much more of a difference when you buy quality towels…
