Microwedding Favor Ideas

2020 and 2021 brides, I tip my hat to you. Covid-19 has thrown such a curveball our way, and while many of us are fortunate to simply be “stuck at home” some of us are much more deeply impacted. So many have lost loved ones, are in a distressing financial situation, or having to put life’s big milestones on hold.

I am craving to be around people and one thing I am sorely missing are the weddings of my clients and friends. So, in the spirit of love and weddings, I have put together a few ideas for those of you who are having microweddings in place of your regularly scheduled wedding ceremony and reception. Whether you’re adapting your event to include just a ceremony or having a bigger event later (see this The Knot article to explain the different formats), you may be reimagining your guest list, vendors, and everything down to the littlest detail. Perhaps you are even willing to splurge a little more on things to make your day special, due to the lower number of guests.

One detail I happen to love are favors. I love to design them, use them as escort cards, and receive them as a guest! Who doesn’t? So I have brainstormed a few microwedding guest favor ideas. Just because your guest count is significantly fewer, you don’t have to forgo impeccable details.

Monogrammed Linen Masks

Perfect to keep guests feeling safe (and great for pictures to keep everything uniform). Also, linen fabric is breathable and light.

Monogrammed masks are a fitting favor for a wedding in the age of Covid-19. As more businesses and states require them, why not gift your closest friends and loved ones with a mask to fit the elegant look of your wedding?

Miniature Prosecco or Champagne

Cheers! Not only will celebratory bubbly get everyone in the mood to toast you and your groom, but it can be dressed up. If you are feeling generous, you can even gift your guests a full-sized bottle!

With a little ribbon, leather or twine, you can transform a simple drab bottle to something exquisite. If you are on a budget, you can even allow this gift to double as an escort card.
