Some days I can just whip up a few watercolors….today was one of those days! Even with my new iPad and Apple Pencil, watercolor on paper simply cannot be replaced. Now calligraphy proofing…that’s another story…

Imagine being able to stay in a luxury hotel overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Or the Italian Riviera. Or of the canals of Venice. Or the blackened beaches of Sicily. I imagine this classy, head-scarf donning beauty not only exquisitely dressed, but breathing in scents of sea salt and jasmine, about to tuck into a morning cornetto and espresso doppio.

This dream of a landscape was inspired by Eleonora Marraro and her Italian style, and travels. I have been of course feeling the travel itch, and just feeling inescapably stuck. No matter how much time passes, it doesn’t feel like it will be safe to travel anytime soon. And it can be maddening. So I suppose instead of lamenting that, and feeling the blues creep in, watercoloring and creating can be quite helpful.

ciao! xo
