Gwynevere’s Sign

Arriving on Gwynevere’s name came after much, much thought and consideration. Many of my friends know that my own name (A. Taylor) has a complicated and even funny, ridiculous story behind it! I wanted Gwyn’s name to be uncomplicated, yet ethereal and timeless. I had a list of baby names for years that had evolved, and Gwyn was actually a latecomer to the list. There is so much inspiration behind the name, which I think is so very special for our gorgeous bundle of love and light.

I love that she’ll grow up with a nickname: Gwyn, Gwynnie, for short. I also love that her name has a Y in it, which is an homage to me and her father, S. We both have Y’s in our name! And her middle name reflects my mom’s name, Andrea. It is such a special heirloom to have.

When designing Gwyn’s nursery, S wanted to have a sign made by her mom in the classic A. Taylor Studio style. We opted for a small, rustic whitewashed type sign to add warmth to the walls. The nursery has elements of white, wood tones, and soft sage. For contrast, an elegant black script reads her beautiful name in its full form.

Ciao! Xo
