I recently pulled out my autumn and Halloween decor and thought, this cute little ceramic pumpkin would look REAL good with a coat (or two) of some mineral paint! After about 20 minutes of total painting, I gave this pumpkin a cute little makeover and now it fits in so much better with my neutral-ish decor! Here’s a breakdown of exactly what I did.

Materials

Materials used: Ceramic Pumpkin | Fusion Mineral Paint | A Maker’s Studio Brush

I used my triangular paint brush and simply painted my ceramic pumpkin, which was old (here are some similar options). I laid down a cloth on my dining room table and painting using soft brushstrokes downward. Make sure that your strokes are consistent, that’s the only thing that really matters especially if your pumpkin is smooth. I added 2 coats. This mineral paint is AMAZING - it dries quickly and has a gorgeous matte finish. You do not need a primer! It’s an all-in-one. I have this in my little DIY/craft closet and this is exactly what it is intended for…little impromptu crafts here and there!
